Service Contract Act Compliance Refresher

Service Contract Act Compliance is complicated and filled with pitfalls that even trap sophisticated contractors. This session will give an overview of SCA contract requirements with a focus on the methods by which contractors must supply benefits to their SCA-covered workers and address common pitfalls. We will also review the executive orders and newer regulations impacting workers working on or supporting federal contracts including sick leave and the new minimum wage Executive Order.

Session 2
Davis-Bacon Act Compliance Refresher
Wednesday August 25, 12 – 1 pm EST
The Davis-Bacon Act will play an outsized role over the next few years as the Biden administration rolls out infrastructure proposals. Even absent that, the Davis-Bacon Act provides heartache for contractors because of the complicated compliance requirements and constant need to provide certified payrolls.

Inside DOL Investigations
Wednesday September 8, 12 – 1 pm EST
The DOL has the power to investigate contractors for, among other things, violations of labor laws including the Service Contract Act, the Davis-Bacon Act as well as ERISA violations. This session will cover the ins and outs of both these kinds of investigations and provide best practices through war stories.
